- Initial Logo Thoughts:
- I thought it was interesting that without even looking at the words below Ann’s logo, I knew that it was going to be about diving into technology, I know our logo is supposed to have as few words as possible, perhaps she only needs her second line about developing early literacy. Love the computer and the diver.

- How did logo fit website? How did the logo relate to their content?
- I believe her logo fits her website because as you read further you can tell she explored how to use devices in the elementary grades and even provides evidence and videos (tutorials) about ways to integrate devices in primary school programs

- Who was their audience?
- It seems to me that her audience would be elementary teachers, maybe even parents of elementary students, because it seems there are several areas on her site that justify why she does what she does.

- Were they effective on presenting to them on every page?
- I thought her home page and her “learn more” page were spot on...I’m not sure how the “standards” page fits into the overall theme of her whole project. I also thought her justifications on the inspiration page about the different research and perspectives about how tech is important in the elementary grades was also very relevant.

- Initial Logo Thoughts:
- First thought was I really like the use of shapes and color in Lisa’s logo. Also, it is very apparent that this capstone project is going to be about school blogs. There’s no doubt about it, and how they’re used to teach, learn, inspire, and connect. Reading between the lines, I think that all the talk/thought bubbles represents giving students voice, a great subtle addition to her logo.

- How did logo fit website? How did the logo relate to their content?
- I think her logo did fit her content, however, there were a couple places on her site that talked about students using blogs to possibly get jobs, and prepare for their future...it seemed to be a large focus of hers, but her logo doesn’t represent that.

- Who was their audience?
- High school teachers and students that are interested in connecting to larger audiences that just their classroom. Any teachers (although it seemed mostly geared towards high school) that want to have their students collaborate and share their ideas online with each other, and to prepare for their futures in a digital world.

- Were they effective on presenting to them on every page?
- Yes, there was evidence on every page about blogging can be used to connect. As a math teacher who has never used blogs in class before, and doesn’t see how they would fit into a math class, it might be nice to have some tutorials, or links to how different levels of teachers, and teachers of different content are using blogs effectively.

- Initial Logo Thoughts:
- Red, yellow, and green all together, yellow text as well...is Karla using her semiotic strategies on purpose? Red is provocative, green is serene, yellow represents optimism and positivity, and a circle could represent completeness, warmth and comfort...was this all thought out, or did she just like the colors? My first instinct when I saw the three color combo was the Rasta flag, or the many countries that use those colors in their flags (Cameroon, Togo, Ghana, Guinea, Congo, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Mali, Bolivia, Ethiopia) All that being said, I think the words in her logo are trying to represent that creating a collaborative culture in a classroom is paramount.

- Were they effective on presenting to them on every page?
- Yes, all pages had helpful research, information, or links. But I especially thought the page entitled “How To” would be the most effective and helpful. Here, she listed actual classroom strategies and protocols to build community and a positive culture in the classroom.
